Katy Krottinger is the lead associate lawyer in the Mass Torts Division of the Monsour Law Firm.
At the Monsour Law Firm, Katy, as the lead Associate for the Mass Torts, focuses on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She leads the Xarelto, Pradaxa, and IVC filter dockets. She also works on Transvaginal Mesh. She has worked up over 30 Mesh cases for trial and played an integral role in two Mesh trials one of which received an $18.5 million verdict for 4 injured women. Additionally, Katy works on Actos, Avandia, and Zoloft cases.
In recognition of her accomplishments, Katy was selected as a Rising Star Lawyer in Texas Monthly Magazine in 2016.
Katy was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 2006, she graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities.
Katy then moved to Washington D.C. to work for the environmental lobbying firm League of Conservation Voters. Subsequently, she moved to Boston to pursue her interest in energy policy. While working for the environmental nonprofit Clean Water Action in Boston, Katy helped to draft and pass numerous pieces of cutting edge energy legislation, spearheaded a multistate and Canadian energy report, and organized countless community outreach events.
Katy received her Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in May 2012. She graduated magna cum laude.
Away from the office, Katy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, running, and yoga.
