Katy Krottinger

Katy Krottinger is an equity partner and manages the Mass Torts Division of The Monsour Law Firm.

Katy, as the manager of the Mass Torts Division, focuses on defective product litigation primarily involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and defective safety products. She is an experienced trial attorney whose practice focuses on pharmaceutical and medical device cases nationwide. Clients have come to rely on Ms. Krottinger for her breadth of experience and dedication to each and every case. Ms. Krottinger is well known amongst her peers for her work in the global transvaginal mesh litigation. She served on the trial team against Boston Scientific that obtained a $18.5 million dollar verdict on behalf of four women.

Ms. Krottinger is currently working with veterans who used the defective 3M Combat Arms Earplugs and veterans who were exposed to toxic water at Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune.
Recently, Katy helped secure two major trial victories in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation. On December 10, 2021, a Tallahassee, Florida Federal Court jury awarded U.S. Army veteran T.J. Finley $22.5 million for hearing loss suffered due to his defective Combat Arms version 2 earplugs. A few months later, on April 29, 2022, a Federal Court jury in Gainesville, Florida awarded $2.2 million to U.S. Army veteran Jonathan Vaughn for his hearing loss suffered from wearing the defective Combat Arms version 2 earplugs. The Finley v. 3M verdict was listed by The National Law Journal as one of the Top 100 verdicts of 2021.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Katy has been selected as a Rising Star Lawyer in Texas Monthly Magazine from 2016-2023.

Katy was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 2006, she graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. Katy received her Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, magna cum laude, in May 2012.

Away from the office, Katy enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and two daughters, Molly and Parker.
