Kingrey J. Sullens was born in Longview and raised in Hallsville, Texas. After graduating from Hallsville High School in 2017, he became the first student in the school’s history to attend an Ivy League University, graduating from Yale University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health, with an emphasis on Public Health responses to viral epidemics. While at Yale, Kingrey served as Chief Aide to the Head of College, was a Yale Ambassador to schools in East Texas, and received the William H. McKim Award for academic achievement.
After graduation, Kingrey joined the firm as a Legal Assistant in the Mass Torts Department. He worked on the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation and participated in two major trial verdicts for U.S. Army veterans: a $22.5 million verdict for T.J. Finley before a Federal Court in Tallahassee, Florida, and a $2.2 million verdict for Jonathan Vaughn before a Federal Court in Gainesville, Florida.
In 2022, Kingrey began studying law at Baylor Law School. While there, he won the Faegre Drinker Moot Court Competition and served as Managing Senior Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review. His published Comment, “Fault Lines: In Re: NCS Multistage and the Incongruity Between Strict Products Liability & Proportionate Responsibility,” appears in the Spring 2025 edition of the Baylor Law Review.
Outside the office, Kingrey enjoys weightlifting, reading, hunting, and spending time with his family.
